JetBlue lands in Rhode Island
Limited service out of TF Green begins in November

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - JetBlue airlines is officially landing in Rhode Island.
On Wednesday, Governor Lincoln Chafee and the Rhode Island Airport Corporation hosted a news conference at the State House announcing the arrival of JetBlue service to Warwick's T.F. Green Airport.
Flights will begin November 29, beginning with service to-and-from Orlando and Fort Lauderdale.
Fares will start at $75 each way to commemorate the fact that Providence is JetBlue's 75th city.
The deal to bring JetBlue to Rhode Island had been rumored for months, and alluded to in numerous tweets by JetBlue CEO David Barger. Last September, Barger wrote on Twitter that he was impressed with the infrastructure improvements at T.F. Green. Then earlier this year, he tweeted: "Wouldn't be surprised if we're there by the end of this year!"
