PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - There are several organizations and businesses that are helping others this Thanksgiving.

  • Living Hope Christian Church Free annual Thanksgiving Day Dinner

  • Pawtucket Soup Kitchen Thanksgiving Day Dinner

  • St. Michael's Thanksgiving Day Dinner
    A partnership of St. Michael's, St. Patrick's, Amos House, McAuley House, Crossroads RI, Providence Rescue Mission and hundreds of volunteers will serve a free dinner 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Donations and volunteers to help serve are needed. Call Sister Ann Keefe at (401) 781-7210. Those interested in helping to deliver meals can call the Providence Rescue Mission at (401) 648-6849.

  • Thanksgiving Dinner Delivery
    Volunteers are needed to help deliver meals prepared by Warren Unit 11 of the American Legion Auxiliary and friends on Thanksgiving Day to the elderly, homebound and needy in Barrington, Bristol, Warren and the Riverside section of East Providence. Anyone wanting a meal or looking to volunteer should call (401) 245-5431 and leave a message. Orders must be placed by 4 p.m. Wednesday. The meals will be prepared on Thanksgiving Day at St. Thomas the Apostle Church.

  • Annual Central Falls Thanksgiving Dinner
    The Central Falls Food Pantry will offer a free Thanksgiving Dinner to residents who can't afford to buy a turkey or those who may not have anyone around to celebrate the holiday with. It will take place at the Knights of Columbus from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Transportation is available for seniors living in high rises.
