Donation allows for December Waterfire

Event to benefit Providence Rescue Mission

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) -- For the second year in a row, there will be a Christmastime lighting of Waterfire in downtown Providence.

The December event, which was made possible by an anonymous donor, will benefit the Providence Rescue Mission.

The lighting will take place Friday, December 14.

The evening will also include a special Christmas tree lighting in Waterplace Basin.
