PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) -- Police are investigating after three people were shot on a Providence street Sunday morning.
Police tell Eyewitness News that they were called to the area of 35 Sackett Street for a report of shots fired, but found nothing at first. Officers soon discovered shell casings on the ground, and then a 34 year-old man came out of a house nearby and told officers he'd been shot in the leg.
Rhode Island Hospital then alerted police that two men had transported themselves there with gunshot wounds; a 42 year-old man was hit in the left side and leg, and a 25 year-old man had been shot in the shoulder.
The victims told police they'd been standing outside when a vehicle pulled up and fired shots at them, then took off. None of their injuries are considered life-threatening and at last check, police had not made any arrests.
