PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - The Lone Narragansett convicted in the smoke-shop raid case has asked the Supreme Court to reverse his simple assault and disorderly conduct convictions.
According to the Providence Journal, Hiawatha Brown argued that a Superior Court judge did not hold a hearing into allegations two jurors exhibited racial bias.
The state maintains the judge carefully assessed the allegations, but found nothing.
