Man stabbed outside Providence shelter

Victim taken to RI Hospital for treatment

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) -- A man has been hospitalized after being stabbed numerous times in Providence.

According to the Providence Journal, a fight broke out outside of the Crossroads RI shelter just before 8 p.m. Monday.

As a result, the victim was stabbed in the face and chest. He was then transported to Rhode Island Hospital for treatment, so far no word on his condition.

Police continue to investigate, no arrests have been made in the case.
