PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) -- The ex-husband of a North Kingstown woman convicted of murdering their 8-year-old daughter has filed a wrongful death suit.
The Providence Journal reports that Timothy Fry is suing Kimberly Fry for wrongful death in the strangulation of their daughter Camden in August 2009.
The paper reports that the suit also names Rhode Island Hospital and a therapist there. It says they should have known Fry was struggling with severe depression and was a potential danger to herself and others. A hospital spokeswoman couldn't immediately be reached by The Associated Press.
The suit seeks unspecified damages.
Kimberly Fry is serving 20 years in prison. Her criminal lawyer is not representing her in this case and had no comment. It was not immediately clear if she has another attorney.
