Cities and towns celebrate Veterans Day

Parades and memorial services take place statewide

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) – Several cities and towns throughout Rhode Island celebrated veterans on Monday.

From North Kingstown to Pawtucket, veterans were honored as the nation observed Veterans Day.

The North Kingstown Veterans Day Parade kicked off at 10 a.m. and concluded with a wreath laying ceremony at the Civil War Memorial by Town Hall.

The Pawtucket Veterans Council also conducted annual Veterans Day ceremonies at Veterans Memorial Park in downtown.

Scituate also held Veterans Day events.
