Stabbing investigation in N. Providence

Victim is recovering, no life-threatening injuries

NORTH PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - A North Providence man is recovering at RI Hospital after he was stabbed at an apartment complex this morning.

Major Paul Martellini says detectives are on scene at Allemdale Apartments investigating the incident. The victim is being treated at Rhode Island Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Early reports described a suspect in the area of 463 Woonasquatucket Avenue. The suspect is described as a white male, 5' 10" and weighs about 180 lbs.

A National Grid Truck and Building Inspector were seen arriving to the scene.
