WARREN, Mass. (WPRI) - Investigators were reportedly seeking to re-interview a convicted killer labeled a person of interest in the unsolved death of Massachusetts teenager Molly Bish.
WSHM-TV reports Massachusetts State Police were scheduled to meet with Rodney Stanger at a Florida prison Thursday.
Stanger was linked to Bish's disappearance years ago but was never charged. He once lived in the same area of Massachusetts as the Bish family and resembles composite sketches of a suspicious man seen near site of the teen's disappearance.
The 16-year-old Bish went missing from her lifeguard post at Cummins Pond in Warren, Massachusetts in 2000.
Her body was discovered three years later.
The investigation was recently reopened when Stanger's sister discovered possible evidence inside the trailer where he used to live.
Massachusetts State Police searched Stanger's Florida trailer this week.
