REHOBOTH, MASS. (WPRI) -- A traffic stop by Rehoboth police resulted in a narcotics arrest Sunday morning.

Police report that at about 1 a.m., an officer stopped a car on Fairview Avenue.  The officer subsequently found marijuana, perscription drugs, cash and "other items of evidence" that indicated the driver was involved in narcotics sales.

The driver, 47 year-old Brian Diamond of Rehoboth, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of drugs and multiple counts of possession with intent to distribute.  He was released on cash bail and will be arraigned Monday in Taunton District Court.
