BOSTON, MASS. (WPRI) – A convicted killer’s taxpayer funded sex chance is put on hold.

On Tuesday a federal judge ruled that Michelle Kosilek’s transgender surgery will have to wait until an appeal from the Massachusetts Department of Correction is heard.

The judge also rejected Kosilek’s resent request for electrolysis hair removal treatments.

In September the judge ordered the state to provide sex reassignment surgery for Kosilek.

Kosilek was convicted of murdering his wide in Wrentham Massachusetts back in 1990.
