DARTMOUTH, MASS. (WPRI) – A pet store owner in Dartmouth is offering a reward for a bunny that was stolen from their store.
It happened just before 7:30PM Wednesday at Mellisa’s Pet Depot. A couple was caught on camera entering the store and the woman picks up the bunny looks around then tucks it into her arms and takes off.
The bunny is what they call a mini flop. It has the floppy ears, is only six weeks old and tan in color.
Mellisa Raposo the owner of Mellisa’s Pet Depot says most bunnies cost around $35 leaving her to believe if the criminal cant afford to pay for the bunny they probably cant afford to care for it ether.
Raposo says she just wants the bunny back so they can ensure it goes to a good home.
Pet Depot is offering a $100 reward for the safe return of their baby bunny.
Anyone with any information is asked to call the pet store or Dartmouth Police.
