PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI)- Providence police are investigating after another robbery at a Family Dollar store.

The latest robbery happened at the Family Dollar store on Smith Street, which has been held up 3 times in the past 11 months.

In November of last year, 8 Family Dollars stores were robbed locally, including locations on Chalkstone Avenue and Broad Street.

Regular shoppers say they're unsettled by the recent crimes and are worried for the clerks.

"I don't know how they're still workings there because I wouldn't. I'd be too afraid", shopper Robin Quinn said.

The pace of the robberies seems to accelerate around the holidays.

Police aren't sure if this recent robbery is related to any previous ones.
