Suspicious death case victim identified

Cause of death ruled "homicidal violence"

CRANSTON, R.I. (WPRI)-  The state Medical Examiner's Office has identified the victim whose body was discovered in a Cranston garage.

20-year-old Mary S. Grier, was discovered in a Farmington Avenue garage on July 20.

Her cause of death has been ruled "homicidal violence".

Police have identified James Adams as a person of interest in the case. Adams was taken into custody in Providence on July 24 on separate charges of sexual assault and robbery.

Adams allegedly attacked a women in Johnston on June 30.

He remains in custody at the Adult Correctional Institution.

The homicide remains under investigation.
