ATTLEBORO, MASS. (WPRI)- Attleboro police have arrested 3 suspects in connection with an armed bank robbery.
Eyewitness News was on the scene as police took 3 people into custody at a city apartment building, just feet away from the robbery scene.
The Bank of America branch on Washington Street was robbed Wednesday afternoon. Police say Katelyn Wilbur walked into the bank with a gun in her hand and demanded money.
Police say she fled the scene in a white S.U.V.
Wilbur was arrested at a nearby apartment building, along with suspects Todd Chamberlain and Denielle Lavalley-Pfeil.
All 3 suspects are being charged with armed robbery, conspiracy to commit a crime and possession of heroin.
Wilbur is also being charged with assault with a dangerous weapon.
Neighbors say they're surprised an arrest could take place at their building.
"I opened the door to bring my son to a friend's house and there was an officer standing there telling me I had to go back inside. I looked out the window and the driveway was full of undercover cruisers. It was a little surprising", neighbor Christopher Cook said.
Police also towed away a white Ford Explorer as evidence.
All 3 suspects are scheduled to be arraigned Thursday in Attleboro District Court.
