Two shot Friday night in Providence

Police say wounds not considered life-threatening

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) -- Police are investigating after two men were shot Friday night in Providence.

Police tell Eyewitness News that the two victims were shot at about 9 p.m. Friday on Cornplanter Row, which is off Pine Street.

Both victims were shot in the legs - one twice, the other three times - and they were taken to Rhode Island Hospital for treatment, but their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

A total of 15 shots were fired at the two victims, although they could not tell police where the shots came from or who had fired at them.

As of Saturday morning, no arrests had been made.
