NORFOLK, Va. (WPRI) -- A suspect in the murder of a Pawtucket man was arrested at a Norfolk, Virginia store Wednesday afternoon.
The US Marshals Service reported the capture of Darrell Johnson, who was wanted for the July 2012 murder of Joshua Burgo. Investigators say Johnson shot Burgo in the chest, following an altercation between two groups near the Nathanael Greene Middle School.
Johnson is the third person arrested in connection with the killing. Davhon Shelton and Givanni Lima were previously charged with conspiracy to commit murder.
Marshals contacted Norfolk deputies Nov. 24 and informed them Johnson could be in the area. On Wednesday, Norfolk deputies saw a man matching Johnson's description leaving a home and walking toward a convenience store.
They apprehended him without incident inside the store around noon Wednesday.
