LEOMINSTER, Mass. (AP) -- Police say a stabbing at a Chuck E Cheese restaurant in Leominster may have been gang related.
Isaac Ramos of Fitchburg was held on $5,000 bail after pleading not guilty Monday to assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and disorderly conduct in connection with the stabbing Sunday at the kids' pizza parlor.
According to court documents, the 24-year-Ramos and 23-year-old Cesar Alicea-Romero had a history of hostility. What started as a fist fight, with the men rolling on the floor, ended with Ramos allegedly stabbing Alicea-Romero.
The Telegram & Gazette reports the victim was driven to a hospital by a relative with an arm injury.
Ramos told police Alicea-Romero approached him, threatened to kill him, and started hitting him. Police say in surveillance video Alicea-Romero appeared to flash gang signs.
