X Factor debuts Wednesday on FOX Prov.

It's the exciting premiere of the national auditions at The X Factor! FOX's The X Factor is set to hit the air on FOX Providence Wednesday at 8 p.m.

Back when the show was in Providence filming in June, thousands turned out to show the rest of the country that they had what it takes to win the X Factor!

"There was a picture of Providence that somebody showed me and I thought this looks amazing," said Simon Cowell.

Signs went up and even a Simon Cowell martini was made.

Even a special cake was made for the judges and Jennifer Schouppe from Johnson and Wales loved the idea of making it.  

"It was really exciting it’s a great opportunity to do something like that.  We are kind of surprised that people think of us to do that." 

The show also had a huge impact on Providence. 

"Huge opportunity for Providence to be on a national stage. It is tremendous media coverage. It also provides exposure for people coming into the city for the first time," said Kristen Adamo, V.P. of Marketing and Communications for Providence Warwick Visitors Convention Bureau,

The real excitement happened as the judges arrived for the show at the Dunk.

The Rhode Show spoke exclusively to judges Britney Spears and Demi Lovato about the show. They both said it was great to have each other since it is the first year they are judging on the show.

In a recent call with Simon, he said "Providence was really successful city for the show and they loved it here."

"Everyone was really great except Simon. I give it back to him I don't mind," joked Demi.

According to Simon, Providence will be featured along with two other cities in Wednesday night’s two hour episode, but more of the city may be seen on Thursday night as well.
