(WPRI) - A variety show paying tribute to the legends of Las Vegas is coming to Rhode Island for one night only.

The Doo-Wopp, Burlesque, and Legends of Las Vegas show will be at the Park Theatre in Cranston on April 28. This will be the national premier of this innovative show.

“It brings something for everyone--good fun, great music, dance, Doo-Wopp 1950’s music, comedy, and exotically beautiful burlesque dancers,” said Harvey Robbins, President of Doo-Wop Hall of Fame America.

Robbins has produced shows in Las Vegas and at nearby Foxwoods Casino.

Guests can expect to hear songs from Vegas superstar legends, including tributes to James Brown, Elvis Presley, Aretha Franklin, Tina Turner, and Janis Joplin.

Also on the show is Tony Funches, former lead singer for Herb Reed’s Platters for almost a decade, singing the classic Platters’ hits, such as, “My Prayer”, “The Great Pretender”, “Only You”, “Harbor Lights”, and “Smoke Gets In Your Eyes.”

And, Las Vegas Miss Exotic World burlesque queen Angie Pontani, an international burlesque artist and reigned as number one in the world when she won the prestigious Miss Exotic World title, will also be a part of the show.

Tickets are now on sale at the Park Theatre box office at 848 Park Ave., Cranston, by phone at 401-467-7275 or on line at www.parktheatreRI.com .
