(FOX Providence) - One of the easiest ways to help conserve our planet is to recycle. But there's nothing easy about the actual process, unless of course you’re a professional at it.
The Rhode Show found one company to help us sort it all out.
Ecotope was just a small recycling company in 1999, they never expected they would branch out into some many avenues of environmental conservation. But recycling is still a major part of their focus that is keeping the Ocean State cleaner and more efficient.
Now-a-days its not just paper being recycled. With companies of fifty or more being mandated to recycle a minimum of 35 percent of their materials, they've sought help from Ecotope on the best ways to do it.
The days of one bin out behind your office or in your backyard have changed as well. Offices now have several options for recycling their paper goods, ranging in sizes and even featuring locks to secure documents from being taken before they head to the recycling plant.
As many of us are trying to recycle more around our household, it goes beyond newspapers and soda bottle. Ecotope has developed a new way to turn our garbage into compost.
Thru an air transfer system it only takes 35 to 60 days before you have perfectly good compost to use in your garden and start the chain all over again.
