Take the family to Nova Scotia Tattoo

(FOX Providence) - Imagine thousands of performers, dancers, acrobats and bands, all in one family show. Leah Whitehead, from the Royal Nova Scotia International Tatoo , joined The Rhode Show to talk about 'Canada's best secret.'

Q: Tell us a little bit about the Royal Nova Scotia Tattoo?
A: When people hear the word Tattoo they typically think of military bands. The Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo is really so much more than that.
It is a spectacular show with more than 2000 performers from around the world. The acts include bands, gymnasts, dancers, acrobats, choirs and much more in the fast-paced two and a half hour family show. The Nova Scotia Tattoo is truly considered the best in its class and Canada’s best kept secret. It’s a different show every year…so much so that we have people who have seen every single show and The Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo just celebrated its 30th Anniversary this past July so it’s been around for some time.

Q:When is the tattoo? And are tickets still available?
A: The Tattoo runs the first week of July. This year, it runs from July 1 through the 8th with matinee shows on the 1st, 3rd and 4th and evening performances on the other days. We also have free outdoor concerts and displays at noon-time everyday on the streets of Halifax during the Tattoo. Tickets went on sale October 1st and can be purchased on our website at www.nstattoo.ca . They’re based on first come first served basis so it’s good idea to get your tickets before Spring.

Q:Are there any special offers people should know about?
A: Yes, we’re pleased to offer AAA members a discount on their seating of more than $5! A seating is $34.75 and B seating is $27.25 - extremely good value for a show of this caliber. We also offer group discounts for groups of 25 people or more and we offer backstage tour and souvenir program options for group packages as well.
