We're cooking Holiday Chocolate Bread Pudding in the kitchen with Newport Restaurant Group.
Ingredients:
Yield: 1 9 x 13 loaf
1 loaf (@ 15 c) Cubed French or Italian bread
3 c Whole milk
1/3 c Heavy cream
1/4 c Coffee liqueur
1 c Granulated sugar
1/4 c Cocoa powder
1 tbsp Vanilla extract
1 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
6 each eggs, lightly beaten
8 oz. Semisweet chocolate chips
Procedure:
1. Fill greased 9 x 13 pan with bread
2. In bowl, whisk milk, cream, and liqueur. In second bowl,
mix sugars and cocoa powder. Combine mixes.
3. In separate bowl, combine extract, cinnamon, and beaten
eggs. Add egg mix into first mix and whisk to combine.
4. Stir in chocolate chips and pour over bread
5. Let stand, stirring occasionally for 20 minutes
6. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour
