Fall Events with Frerichs Farm

(FOX Providence) - It's certainly time to begin converting your gardens, pots and window boxes to a Fall mix, and we have everything to keep things lively and colorful. We have a field full of gorgeous mums in four sizes and many colors. You can also choose from a large selection of Fall Magic -- hardy plants that will take the cool nights and a light frost -- and we even have Winter pansies which will bloom through part of the winter and come back again in the spring!

The Pumpkin Weigh-off is approaching next month so we've kept an eye on how those giant pumpkins are coming along. Last month, we toured the farms of those growing the giant pumpkins to compete in the annual SNGPG Annual Pumpkin Weigh-off . Look at the photos of their giant gourds which can easily gain 30 lbs. in one day!

Of course, a big highlight of September is the beginning of our Pumpkin Palooza which runs every weekend, beginning September 12 through the end of October. All the details about this fun family event are here.

Although our ever-popular classes usually run in the spring and early summer, we are offering a few new ones this fall. Get the details on making your own beautiful leaf transfers and get ready for Halloween by making your own witch hat and/or broom!
