More about Greg Lato:
Fast-rising Rhode Island pop talent Greg Lato (and Narragansett resident) unveils his brand new music video for "Monday Morning Breakdown," the title track to his acclaimed new recording, and the album's second single.
The "Monday Morning Breakdown" music video was filmed in NYC at various locations including a movie sound stage with a full cast and crew; it's got all the bells and whistles of a top-notch video production and vaults Greg into pop star territory.
Plot-wise, the video stars Greg in the role of a typical office worker mired in a boring routine. The excitement begins once Greg's dreams take over. What kind of excitement? You'll have to watch the video yourself to find out. Just know that you'll see Greg like you've never seen him before!
In addition to the video screening, there will be an acoustic performance and taping of a comedy skit to be aired on "Wicked Late w/ Brendan Kirby." Lato will be performing unplugged versions of songs off Monday Morning Breakdown, his stellar new, 8-song CD. The album itself is full of upbeat and melodic pop songs that measure up against today's best tuneful power pop, with a flair for memorable hooks and Greg's sweet singing voice.
2009 has been a great year for Greg Lato. He's made a name for himself with an increasing online presence and favorable exposure throughout the New England area. His successful first single and music video for the song "Beautiful Woman" which received airplay nationally, while key shows at the Bitter End in NYC and locally at Lupo's, have proven that Greg has built a sizable and enthusiastic following.
