Local band to play at Newport Folk Fest

Warren band Brown Bird plays energetic folk

(FOX Providence) - A local Warren band is set to appear at the Newport Folk Festival this weekend.

Brown Bird, a two-person band will be playing at the festival Sunday July 31. They describe their sound as "original, traditional American music in the best sense possible." They stopped by the Rhode Show on Wednesday to showcase their energetic performance.

The band consists of David Lamb on guitar, banjo, percussion and vocals and MorganEve Swain on fiddle, cello, upright bass and vocals.
