EAST GREENWICH, R.I. (FOX Providence) - Ocean State Veterinary Specialists is a privately owned state-of-the-art facility providing 24 hour emergency care and specialty services for companion animals.

The hospital is staffed by experienced emergency clinicians and specialists in the areas of internal medicine, surgery, radiology, critical care, ophthalmology, oncology, and exotic animal medicine.

The hospital is dedicated by providing the highest level of veterinary care to our patients in an atmosphere of compassion and excellence.

OSVS is also an educational center, providing advanced training for veterinarians, veterinary students, and veterinary technicians.

Specialty Services:
Our specialists see patients by appointment and referral only. They use information provided by the referring veterinarian, as well as advanced equipment not available to many general practitioners, to provide the highest level of diagnostic and therapeutic modalities to their patients.

They also communicate regularly with the family vet to ensure that the pet owner and the pet receive the most thorough and compassionate care possible. The relationship developed between the specialist and the family vet allows the pet to continue to receive long-term follow-up from a collaborating team of veterinarians.
