A Few Light Showers Today

Rain and Wind This Weekend

 Hi, I'm Eyewitness News Meteorologist Pete Mangione ( pmangione@wpri.com )  Here is your updated Live Pinpoint Doppler 12 Futurecast:

TODAY:  Cloudy, blustery and cool...with highs in the low 50s.  East-northeast winds 10-20mph with gusts to 25mph.  A few sprinkles or spotty light showers are possible but much of the day is dry.

TONIGHT:  Cloudy, damp and brisk with light rain and drizzle developing after midnight.... lows 38

SATURDAY:  Cloudy, blustery and damp with lighter showers and drizzle in the morning giving way to a soaking rain by the late afternoon and evening.   Highs near 47.  East winds 15-25mph with gusts over 35 mph possible. 

SATURDAY NIGHT:  Heavy rain and strong winds..... near 40.  Winds East-northeast 20-30mph with gusts 40-50mph.  Don't forget to set your clocks ahead 1hr before going to bed as Daylight Saving Time begins.

SUNDAY:  Rain and wind.... rain may be heavy at times, especially early.  It'll be cool with highs around 49.  Rain totals by Sunday evening are expected to range between 1 to 3 inches.  Some isolated areas could reach totals of 4 inches.

MONDAY:  Cloudy with lingering showers and drizzle, in the morning.  Then some partial clearing in the afternoon.  Still brisk and chilly with highs in the mid to upper 40s. 

TUESDAY: Nice!  Dry and mostly sunny...high 57.... turning partly cloudy overngiht

WEDNESDAY (Saint Patrick's Day): Mostly sunny...high near 53.

THURSDAY: Mostly sunny, continued dry...Highs near 56.
