WEST WARWICK, R.I. (FOX Providence) - All this month, Adoption Rhode Island's Heart Gallery is being featured at Cardi's Furniture in West Warwick. It's portraits of 21 children that are waiting for their forever family.

NiRoPe from Cardi's Furniture Superstore joined The Rhode Show to talk about a different aspect of the gallery

"First and foremost, we've had a great response so far to the Heart Gallery this month. If you haven't seen it, stop in anytime this month and see it in West Warwick. Adoption Rhode Island has received many calls, and potential families are setting up appointments to start the process of adoption after seeing the Gallery. The pictures are amazing works of art, but what people may not be aware of, they're all professionally taken by local photographers and studios," said Nick Cardi.

There's also a special process to creating these works of art.

"We find out exactly how the child wants their photo shoot to go. Past photo shoots have been on horse farms, in parks, or just in the studio. One child last year loved ice cream, so they set up a sundae party as part of the photo shoot. When you come to the gallery, you can pick up one of these booklets, which tells the story of each of the children in there. You can take it with you, for reference," said Ron Cardi.

The children also get a chance to take some unique portraits.

"This year, one of the photographers, David Silverman, happens to be the team photographer for the New England Patriots. He was matched up with Daniel, Jose, and Emanuel three brothers who happened to be Patriots Fans. They had the photo shoot of a lifetime. They got to meet Pat the Patriot, see some behind the scenes at the stadium, it was really great!" said Pete Cardi.
