(FOX Providence) - Ben Hague visits the Dunkin' Donuts Center in Providence for a behind-the-scenes look at final preparations for this weekend's huge event: Monster Jam.
Paul, Szmal, the event manager, explains the production of the event. In just 48 hours the convention center transforms to a Monster truck car-crushing arena. With 1200 cubic yards of dirt, the cars will be ready to start their engines Friday night.
Ben also got to chat with Jim Koehler, the driver of the “Avenger” Monster truck , who said, "the truck is around 10,000 pounds, that's definitely a lot of car crushing action."
Tickets are still available for the four shows.
Monster Jam also helps out the local community by using local contractors to assist with set up. Additionally, a portion of each ticket sold will go towards the Special Olympics.
