(FOX Providence) - A woman living in a small village in western Georgia may hold the key to living a long and healthy life!

Antisa Khvichava stakes her claim as the oldest living person, boasting the ripe, old age of 129.

A Soviet-era passport issued in 1979 shows her birth date as July, 1880. Antisa lives with her younger son, Mikheil, who is 70-years-old!

Mikheil insists his mother was 59 when he was born.

Georgian officials are now working to find all the necessary documents needed to confirm her age.

"We have so called "Form 1," the document which was created when an old Soviet passport was issued to Antisa Khvichava. It was created in 1979 and this document also says Antisa Khvichava was born in 1880," Georgy Vashadze, head of Georgia's Civil Registry Agency.

Vashadze thinks Antisa's longevity could be thanks to the quality of the air in Georgia.

"It's quite interesting that in Georgia it is not seldom that we have people who are more than 100-years-old. Maybe it means that we have quite good fresh air and that is why people live longer here than in other countries."

Officials hope to locate the paperwork before Antisa's 130th birthday this year.
