(FOX Providence) - In the summer months here in the Ocean State surfing is a fun pastime for many.

But now you can ride the waves for a good cause. 'Surf for a Cause' is a non-profit organization dedicated to alleviating suffering in third world coastal communities.

"We travel to the communities to provide aid, build houses, do all sorts of things to help the people there," said organization members.

Pete Hurley, Wil Kinnane and Mike Chambers from 'Surf for the Cause' joined the Rhode Show to talk more about what you can do to help.
