(FOX Providence) - Finding the right outfit to wear every day can be quite the task and can be even more challenging when you're pregnant, and cannot fit in too your regular clothes anymore.

Personal Stylist Jill Marinelli joined The Rhode Show to share some tips with new mom-to-be Courtney Caligiuri.

Check out the attached segment to see Courtney dressed in a few lovely outfits from A Pea in the Pod .

Jill's Tips:

The key to creating a stylish maternity look is to invest in a few beautiful maternity pieces, creatively integrate your non-maternity clothes, and then accessorize like crazy!

A few must-have investment pieces for the season: designer denim, white pants, trapeze tops, and the wrap dress. (Dresses can be a lot more comfortable than pants when you are pregnant, giving you the freedom of not having a waistband digging into your belly.)

Take stock of your non-maternity wear that can be worn through much of your pregnancy– for example, cardigans and jackets can be left unbuttoned and used as layering pieces. Tunics and leggings can be worn well into the 2nd trimester and are right on trend. Just make sure to keep the volume on one half of the body. Keeping the other half fitted will help make you look thinner.

Accessories are “one size fits all” and can bring attention to areas you would like to focus on, like your face. A long necklace can keep the eye line moving, resulting in a slimmer and longer appearance. Scarves and handbags are a great way to add some color and can be used long after the baby is born.

Make-up tips for moms

Before this maternity wear segment, Makeup Artist Kirsten Brusse of Joli Visage Artistry , gave Courtney some time-save tips and applied a fresh look to her face. Here is a list of some of the products used.

Kirsten's tips:

As magical as becoming a new mother can be, it is almost always accompanied by some undesirable side effects. Your raging hormones, along with lack of sleep make you look not exactly like the best version of yourself. You are lucky, if you manage to shave BOTH of your legs in the shower! However, if you feel good about yourself, you can conquer most anything. Here is my list of essentials, that will make you feel put together and get you out of the door in no time, so you can get on with your day:

1) Tinted Moisturizer by Laura Mercier

Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer is a sheer, lightweight formula with a hint of color you can use in place of foundation for a natural finish and a healthy glowing complexion. It contains a SPF 20 for the ultimate in anti-aging prevention. It does an amazing job at evening out your complexion, while still looking natural and fresh. Plus, it does doubly duty as a sunscreen.

2) Concealer

Concealer will become your new best friend and will make you look like you slept 12 hours when you really did not. I recommend the Amazing Cosmetics Concealer. It is a full-coverage concealer ideal for any kind of imperfection. This highly-pigmented super-emollient waterproof formula blends seamlessly into the skin, creating a flawless complexion that looks and feels natural. The Amazing Concealer is formulated to erase all skin imperfections: Dark circles, broken capillaries, sun damage, blemishes, redness and more. Unlike traditional concealers, the AmazingConcealer is so concentrated, you only need to use tiny pin-dot amounts of product to create the skin you've always wanted but thought you could never have. A beauty insider's favorite, the AmazingConcealer is your "magic eraser."

3) Champagne colored eyeshadow

Just a sheer wash of this eye shadow called "Kitten" by Stila on the eyelid does a great job of brightening your eye and making you look wide awake by erasing any redness you may have in your lid.

4) Mascara

Mascara will make your eyes look bigger and will make you look more awake. There are lots to choose from, but for a natural every day look, I like Maybelline Great Lash Mascara in Dark Brown. It goes on smoothly, does not clump, and at $5.49, is a total bargain!

5) Blush

A little blush, popped on the apples of your cheek, makes you look fresh, happy and rested. "Springsheen", by MAC is sheer and universally flattering.

6) Last, but certainly not least, a great lipgloss will complete your look and is very low maintenance, so it can be quickly re-applied throughout your busy day. My current favorite is "O Gloss" by Smashbox, which is a naturally pink-hued lip gloss. Once applied, this intuitive gloss will react with your personal skin chemistry to transform from clear into your own custom shade of pink.
