Shawn offers advice to new co-host

Shawn to co-host: Plain and simple, be yourself

(FOX Providence) - Over the past year The Rhode Show's current co-host, Shawn Tempesta has learned a lot from his experience on the show. And he has some words of advice for The Rhode Show's new co-host.

"Advice for the winner this year. Plain and simple, be yourself. That was the first piece of advice someone told me after I won last year, and it's true. You are chosen because we like your personality and what you bring to the table.

So, don't try to be someone you're not. Know that you're going to make mistakes along the way, it's part of the job. Sometimes you'll be learning as you go along. If you make a mistake, learn from it, don't dwell on it, and move forward. And finally, have fun! There are times when this job can become hectic.

There are times when you'll feel like you've got 13 hours of work to fit into an 8 hour work day. But just remember, you will have a job that many dream of getting. Be happy you are here.

Attack every day with the same passion as the next, and you'll be a perfect fit."
