(FOX Providence) - Whether it's morning or night, hot or cold, pizza can be enjoyed in any form at any time. Rhode Island Monthly's latest issue features the state's best pizza joints, and The Rhode Show's Michaela Johnson went to visit three of them.

Out of the 56 pizzas to choose from, Michaela traveled to Providence and sampled popular selections from Pizza Pie-er , Al Forno , and Antonio's. Although all equally delicious, each restaurant had their own unique twist on the typical piece of pizza. From Pizza Pie-er's Cajun Chicken, to Al Forno's Pumpkin Pizza, and Antonio's Tortellini with Breaded Chicken Pizza, each place had something different to offer.

Lisa Harrison from Rhode Island Monthly joined The Rhode Show to talk about what went into this latest issue. She said, "We divided it up by the six general types of pizza and did a glossary." These types include grilled, neapolitan, greek and more. There are also a bunch of great sidebars including where the pizza chefs like to eat pizza.
