RI Monthly's 'Best Of' issue released

(FOX Providence) - It's official, Rhode Island Monthly's annual "Best Of" issue is out on newsstands. When choosing the cover, Editor Sarah Francis says they try to pick something who has widespread appeal.

This year's cover went to Matunuck Oyster Bar. They also won Best New Restaurant.

"Chowder is it. Everybody loves chowder," said Francis.

Every year Rhode Island Monthly holds their annual "Best of Rhode Island Party" to honor the more than 300 winners.

"It's a celebration. We get to scout all over the state and find the great finds like shopping and food, and fun things to do, and beauty treatments, it's a tough job, but you know, we have to do it."
