About Naomi DiClemente Salvatore:

A native of Providence, Rhode Island, Naomi DiClemente began her broadcasting career back in 1985 while a Senior at Rhode Island College. Before heading to class, she started her day delivering the news on country music station WHIM in East Providence. Upon graduation, Naomi was hired at WPRO-AM/FM in Providence where she worked as a news reporter and anchor with such broadcasting greats as Salty Brine, Bud Toevs, and Jimmy Gray. From there, Naomi landed a job at WHDH radio in Boston and after four years in Bean town, got her big break with an offer from the Big Apple.

From 1991 to 1999, Naomi anchored the news during the highly rated “Scott and Todd in the morning show” on WPLJ-FM in New York. During that time, Naomi grew to do more than just the news, but became an integral part of a very successful morning show that drew guests from the world of music, theatre, television, comedy, and publishing. Her many interviews included celebrities ranging from Barbara Walters to Billy Joel to childhood idols like Florence Henderson of Brady Bunch fame to the legendary Barry Manilow. Also during her tenure at WPLJ, Naomi is most proud of helping to foster the early radio career of a dear friend and now world renowned psychic John Edward. She is also proud of promoting the FOOD Network’s many players during their early years, including fellow New Englander Emeril Lagasse who was kind enough to include her in his book TV DINNERS.

Naomi has appeared on many television programs including the Food Network’s “Ready, Set, Cook,” the soap opera “Another World,” and various commercials and infomercials.

She has received numerous honors for hew news reporting including 2 Associated Press Awards for her series on Bay State Bridges and Surrogate Motherhood. In 1998, Naomi received the New York Radio Achievement Award for “best radio newscaster.”

Naomi is married with two young sons who together, she says, have made “the perfect foursome.” She is an avid golfer and also a soccer mom as both boys are involved in the sport. Naomi is a huge talk radio fan and loves the local scene in Rhode Island including historic Providence and Newport, the beautiful beaches, and the incredible restaurants around town…and how wonderful that is, since she’s Italian and loves to EAT!
