PROVIDENCE, R.I. (FOX Providence) - It's a female only, cult phenomenon, and it's taken off in Providence! Every Friday night, you'll find them in their tutu's and bare feet, dancing with the lights down low.
But it's more than just a dance party. Every Friday night at Perishable there are women, dying to blow off some steam. But, there is no booze, no judgment, and no boys.
Amy Lynn Budd started Dance Dance Party Party last January, only a few months before having brain surgery.
"I was also able to go at my own pace with no pressure whatsoever. And the first couple weeks, I moved really slowly through the room," said Budd.
Now, in recovery she's found her rhythm again and she's helping other women.
Dance Dance Party Party was on hiatus for the summer. But it starts back up Friday night at 5:30, September 11.
