Cooking with local honey

We're making Honey Cinnamon Popcorn, Honeycomb Heaven and Oatmeal Granola Honey with Jeff Mello, owner of Aquidneck Honey.

Ingredients:

½  cup Organic Popcorn
½  Canola Oil (enough to cover bottom of the pan)
Dash of Cinnamon
Dash of Salt
½ cup of Aquidneck Honey to drizzle

Steps:

In a 8 inch sauce pan add ½ cup of canola oil and ½ cup organic popcorn. Pop on high heat until popping slows to stop. Remove from heat.
Transfer into large popcorn bowl. Add Cinnamon and salt to taste. Drizzle honey on popcorn and shake up to mix all ingredients.

Honeycomb Heaven

Ingredients:

Fresh French Bread
Aquidneck Honey –Honey Comb
Attwells Gold Cheese (Narragansett Creamery)-Shredded

Slice Bread lengthwise. Spread comb evenly on bread. Top with cheese. Bake until cheese melts.

A nice compliment to the Honey Heaven is to enjoy with a glass of sweet wine. My favorite recommendation to everyone I meet!

Oatmeal Granola Honey

Ingredients:

Aquidneck Honey
Granola (Providence Granola Project) (Wholly Granola)
Organic Yogurt

Steps:
Mix ingredients in a bowl to taste and enjoy good health and nutrition!
