PROVIDENCE, R.I. (FOX Providence) - Most kids have now headed back school for the new year, and Tuesday is the first day of classes for our friends at Meeting Street.

Meeting Street has been operating for sixty years and is a leader in childhood development and education.

Meeting Street spokesperson Laurie Kiely joined The Rhode Show live from their Providence Campus as students were arriving for their first day.

About Meeting Street:
For over 60 years, Meeting Street has been a pioneer and leader in designing and advocating for early intervention, inclusion, education and therapeutic services for children with various needs. We are experts in childhood development and education who are committed to the success of every child.

Meeting Street serves over 3,000 children each year through our individualized learning programs provided both at our state-of-the-art campus and in homes. We reach children birth to 3 years old in our Early Intervention program and offer childcare and preschool programs at our fully inclusive Bright Futures Early Learning Center. Typically developing and special-needs students attend our Grace School (K-8), and we offer life skills training for students in grades (9-12) at our Carter School. In The Children’s Network program for children aged 3 to 5 we bring our Meeting Street expertise to children in community centers in low-income areas.

If your child needs, or you suspect they need, therapeutic services, Meeting Street has expert therapists available for individual or group sessions. We offer physical and occupational therapy, speech and language therapy and audiology services. Children can also benefit from our sensory integration services and our low vision clinic.

At Meeting Street, we offer all of these services so you and your child can get the care and expertise that you need.
