(FOX Providence) - Remember those good ol' days of yore? When times were just a little simpler, and fun was virtually free? Well, this month's issue of Rhode Island Monthly is paying to those good times.
Inside the issue, 19 photographs are displayed from the turn of the twenties century until about 1970. The photos come from the Rhode Island Historical Society, the Rhode Island collection at Providence Public Library, the Rhode Island State Archives and Providence City Archives.
"I was just really struck by all these fun photos, just kind of through the years," said Editor Jen McCaffery.
The pictures include a range of fun in Rhode Island, including the Mardi Gras parade in Woonsocket to a clambake, company picnic, and Ted Williams catching a 557-pound tuna.
