(FOX Providence) - Providence will host the City Art Festival on August 6, at the Biltmore Park and Skating Rink.
It's a day-long exposition featuring some of the region’s most talented artists and performers. In addition, the city will be hosting the inaugural run of the Rock ’N’ Roll Marathon.
The runners and their families will not only be treated to the scenic landmark filled course, but will also get to experience first-hand Providence’s vibrant cultural arts community.
The City Art Festival will feature over 100 contemporary American art and crafts artists along with strolling entertainment including Rhode Island’s Big Nazo. In addition, the day will include free children’s craft activities, interactive community art, and food.
“This is an event that Rhode Island residents and visitors won’t want to miss,” said Jennifer Neuguth, from Festival Fete, City Art Festival organizer.
