(FOX Providence) - With the warmer weather soon approaching, new fashion trends are making it easier to transition from your winter wardrobe. Stylist and mom blogger, Audrey McClelland, joined The Rhode Show to give viewers some tips on easing into the spring season.

Although the weather may not be warm enough for spring attire yet, there are some staples you can incorporate into your winter wardrobe to start the transition.

The first piece Audrey showcases on The Rhode Show is the crochet dress.

"It's very hot for spring, and wear it now! Pair it with a high pair of boots, with tights, or a cardigan or blazer."

Despite the skinny jeans' popularity, Audrey says the wide legged jean is a big look this spring.

In terms of shoes, open-toe wedges in neutral colors is the way to make a statement this season. To wear them now, simply pair them with tights and a skirt. Finally, the nautical stripe is another big trend Audrey says to be looking out for this spring.

She stresses, "Affordable pieces, great quality, and you can really wear them throughout the seasons."
