(FOX Providence) - In the era of texting and Facebook it seems like the Tiger Woods effect is everywhere. But, if you suspect your partner is being unfaithful to you, how can you tell if you're just being paranoid? Or if there is cause for concern?
Private Eye Vic Pichette joined The Rhode Show to talk about the signs of cheating.
How to tell:
Spouse don't always know, but may suspect. Lots of different signs of a cheating spouse.
Changes in life, changes in patters, appearance, working late, business trips, little attention to spouse or children, too much attention to spouse, new sexual desires or techniques, erasing cell messages, erasing e-mail and computer information, on computer for extended times, hiding activity if someone enters room, on computer when spouse goes to bed, purchases a web cam, starts using compute erase software, gut feelings, etc.
Available tools:
A good PI, Spy products, Computer spy products, becoming computer savvy. Types of tools, cell phone spy products, computer spy products, GPS, covert video etc. Forget web based background sites, cheater sites etc.
Facebook:
Facebook puts us in touch with old flames, but it's public. Can get caught easily. Other sites are more damaging like adult friend finder, match, other dating sites, Craigslist and many more. They may see old flames on Facebook, but use other services on the computer to communicate.
When to seek help:
As soon as you suspect. Best to get the information when it may be hot, instead of waiting. The PI should understand all the available tools and products to help obtain the proper legal evidence.
E motional ties to cheating:
Seriousness of it, damaging the family, PI who cares and understands, family friends, embarrassment.
