Chefs and bakeries enter sweet treats in contest

NARRAGANSETT, R.I. (FOX Providence) - Cupcakes, cupcakes and more cupcakes! It was cupcake madness at the Towers in Narragansett. Chefs and bakeries all over the state entered their sweet treats into the cupcake contest.
Hundreds of Rhode Islanders were voting all day for their favorite. The visitor's favorite went to Sugarmama's Sweets and Treats. And the winner in the children's division went to Tyler Pereira. And the overall winner for the best cupcake was Fatulli's Gourmet Bakery and Deli.
Fatulli's Bakery won for a strawberry lemonade cupcake inspired by the book "It's raining cupcakes".
Proceeds from the event benefit Friends of Hazard Castle.
