(FOX Providence) - While it still seems like summer outside, we're getting excited because holidays are coming soon, and that means "A Christmas Carol" is going to be coming to Trinity Rep.

Nick, Ron and Pete Cardi join The Rhode Show to talk about the upcoming auditions being held at their Cardi's Furniture store locations.

Nick Cardi: The event is being held on Saturday, September 18 at the Cardi’s Furniture store in South Attleboro from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. Staff and casting crew will be there and for the parents, you can shop, or enjoy a cup of coffee at Johannsons.

The Rhode Show: Of course shopping, and since we’re talking about a Christmas Carol; is it to early to start thinking about holiday entertaining?

Ron Cardi: Never too early, this is the time when families start planning on who’s hosting Thanksgiving, Christmas or Hanukah, and if you’re going to be the lucky host; now’s the time to start planning that new dining room. We have a large selection of in-stock furniture, great product lines that can be special ordered. A design service is also available through our Design Center. So, impressing your guests is easy, you should start thinking about it now!

The Rhode Show: Wow, talking about the holidays already means I’m almost out of a job here. Tyler, can I audition? What do I have to do I’m pretty solid on my cockney accent governor!

Tyler Dobrowsky: We are looking for kids ages 6-12. You need to have a few lines memorized from the script and about 30 thirty seconds of your favorite holiday song.

The Rhode Show: That’s great. Pete, you guys have done this is your fifth year doing this; you’ve literally seen some kids grow up through the program; and the audition at Cardi’s has become sort of a reunion?

Pete Cardi: Trinity Rep has discovered some great talent in our store
almost like the first day of school all over again. We have one gentleman, Robert Capron, he was in 'Diary of a Wimpy Kid.' It was a hit movie I think in 2007. It’s a fun, relaxed atmosphere, easy parking and the best part; kids get the call back that afternoon, same day delivery!!
