Back to school fashion decoded!

(FOX Providence) - It is back to school time which means new clothes for the kids! While they are probably excited to pick out some new fashions, you're most likely dreading the check out line! Author of "The Digital Mom Handbook," and mother of four boys, Audrey McClelland , joined us on The Rhode Show to bring us her on-trend and on-budget finds!

Audrey says her "go to" back to school stores are TJ Maxx and Marshalls . All of the outfits she picked out for our models retailed for less than $60!

So what are the trends for fall this year? Layers, layers, layers! For boys, Audrey suggests polos, team shirts, and athletic gear- all mixed and matched together. For girls , Audrey says you can't go wrong with sweater dresses, leggings and flats! Boots and scarves will help complete the look!
