(FOX) - The season nine American Idol tour hits the road July 1st. Lee DeWyze , Crystal Bowersox and all your favorite finalists are coming soon to a venue near you.

Things haven't slowed down for season nine's top 10 as they warm up for their cross country tour.

"We get to be out there and perform for real and not just a minute-and-a-half ready, go. You know? So to see the fans, it's just going to be awesome," says Lee DeWyze.

"I'm most looking forward to being able to do the songs that I want to do without- we don't have to worry about clearing them for the show or anything. We can pick whatever we want to do," added Crystal Bowersox.

And Michael Lynch is just as excited.

"Tour is going to be amazing we're super excited we are just having a blast with everything everyday has been super fun like we have gotten more rest than ever rehearsing with the new band cool sitting in on some peoples rehearsals seeing there stuff his set is going to be crazy crazy good."

There will be plenty of energetic group numbers as well as the usual solo songs and current American Idol Lee DeWyze is pulling double duty.

"On the tour I'm going to be recording my album as well, so, for me, that's right up there with the tour. It's really important to me. So to be doing that, I'm really excited about that."

Although Lee and runner-up Crystal Bowersox are the only two who have officially signed a record deal, the rest of the gang have high hopes for the future.

"I'd like to be doing music on a huge level, you know? I wanna be- music's my life so if I get to make a record and do what I want to do, then I'd like to be doing more music," says Casey James.

The season nine American Idol tour kicks off in Detroit July 1st. And it's coming to the Dunkin' Donuts Center in September.
