(FOX Providence) - In this week's Street Stories, they might be the oldest set of identical twins in the country, but don't call the M&M girls elderly or they'll tell you a few things!
Margaret DiSanto and her sister Mary Spaziano recently turned 100 years old. The photos of birthdays and holidays remind us of how they survived the epidemics and hurricanes.
They were in their 30's before airplanes were flying over their homes. They were married with children as cars filled the roads, replacing those old horse drawn coaches. Mary didn't start driving until she was almost 60. She'll admit turning 100 is something she didn't expect.
Margaret and Mary talk a couple of times a day on the phone and see each other once a week. Word puzzles and reading are among their longevity secrets along with home cooked Italian food and of course family.
Maybe this is one of their secrets from a relative who said he never heard anyone say a anything bad about the twins and never heard them say a thing bad about anyone else.
